Premise
U.N.C.L.E. is an international peace-keeping organization with offices around the world.  Its chief nemesis is Thrush, an agency bent on world domination (the singular goal of all spy baddies in the 1960s). Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin operate from U.N.C.L.E.'s New York headquarters and travel the globe to thwart Thrush and other evils.  They're equipped with such "state of the art" gadgetry as global communicators (cleverly disguised as pens), thermal heat capsules that can burn through any lock, guns that fire sleep-darts, transmitter bugs, triangulation beams and many other James-Bondian widgets capable of getting them out of (almost) any fix!

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. utilized "camp" humor, witty repartee and strong character interaction and contrast to comprise a series that riveted millions of us in the 1960s.  It is, sadly, seldom seen today except in very occasional (and irregular) late night timeslots on the TNT cable network.  A few episodes are available on commercial video tape.
