Premise
To atone for centuries of killing, Nick Knight fights evil as a police detective in modern-day Toronto while he searches for a way to regain his mortality.  Determined to thwart him is his vengeful vampiric sire, Lucien LaCroix, as well as the sultry Janette, who first tempted Nick into the darkness.  The evils of Nick's past are presented in flashbacks to previous centuries.  The contemporary stories concern his police cases and his ongoing search for a cure.

Though it owed much of its inspiration to both Dark Shadows and Anne Rice, Forever Knight carved its own unique place in the hearts of vampire aficionados and gothic romance fans.  The poignant dissensions of Nick's doomed romance with Natalie and his recurrent flirtations with Janette, the warring of his dual natures (human vs. vampire) and his continual love-hate battles with LaCroix made for some very exciting stories.  FK fans have many factions, clubs, zines and web pages.  See the links on our main page for some of them.
